Hailing from Croatia, Stimulans are not in the easiest location to break into the metal world. Stimulans are doing a hell of a job pushing their music to the limits. The mix of power metal with a mild vocal style similar to David Coverdale, should have the band on their way. All four tracks are very good but traditional; which is not a bad thing. “Sacrifice” has good balance, with a bit of the dark side. They sound like some bands of the 70’s such as Rick Derringer and Foreigner, with an added power metal style; the vocals by Mario Culjak are good, but nothing exciting.

I feel the band has to concentrate more on their lyrics than on their instrumentation. The music is very good, although the lyrics need some clever hooks. “No Words” is a traditional release that needs some work.

Band Lineup:
  • Mario Culjak - Guitars and vocals
  • Darko Grubisic - Guitars
  • Ivan Dabro - Bass
  • Alen Djurasinovic - Drums

Track Listing:
  1. Sacrifice
  2. Dust the Road
  3. Train
  4. No Words
