“In Denmark in the year 1998, on an eerie night underneath a dark sky, a vision came to us with the name Sinphonia.” These are the words of this Gothic metal band who now bring forth their latest release of downbeat dark sounds with the heavenly voice of Monika Pedersen.

Her voice is the sound of angels that can mellow the hardest hearts. “Silence” is a melody of gothic music mixed with power metal guitar - I like that mixture of sounds. In the background you can hear a whisper of a dark voice saying “Silence.”

“Crestfallen” is even better with haunting keyboards and speed metal ripping guitar. Vocally you hear a hint of Courtney Love in a gothic style. Listening to the song, it sounds like a Legion army marching towards victory. The guitar work by Henrik 'Guf' Rangstrup is really good but not overstated. The last track is another good one that has a balance that may or may not be good for the listener. All-in-all, this is a good start and I look forward to seeing a full length release in the future.
