October is the month for total combustion with the debut release of SOLDIERFIELD's "Bury The Ones We Love" on Metalbox Records. SOLDIERFIELD's mixture of alternative and high-powered metal has these boys aiming for the big time. They bring a molten sound with brilliant chords that will ring true to your ears with powerful lyrics and catchy hooks that need no intervention.

From the opening track "Bury The Ones We Love" they rip it up right off the bat. SOLDIERFIELD not only has that great musical element that will blow you away but the lyrics have depth and meaning. Read the lyrics and listen to the music and chills will run up and down your neck. I love these guys right from the opener. The annihilation doesn't stop there as "Feel Alive" has that certain aura of ALICE IN CHAINS which wreaks havoc on your senses. Leigh Oates is masterful on vocals and musically SOLDIERFIELD is stunning.

"Leave You In The Dirt" is such a array of musically changing guitar work courtesy of Andy Trott and Steve Wray, yet midway through the track they have a sound of ALICE IN CHAINS mixed with LINKIN PARK with a break of sentimental programming and then bringing the song full-fold back to potent metal.

"Skyflower" slows things down with a soft rocker with soaring guitars and Leigh Oates vocals are outstanding. This is one reason I see a bright future for SOLDIERFIELD because it's a total band effort that will make them rise above others.

Ending the disc is "The Path" another powerful song with arrangements being the key to success with this one and with SOLDIERFIELD they could be the gatekeeper to platinum status.

I enjoyed the un-simplistic directional changes in music, at times blowing mankind to shreds yet at other point bringing the mind to an ease. It's a killer debut and you gotta get this one if you like this style.
