Shining Star is a Brazilian jewel being molded by guitarist Fabio Rocha. This is the follow up release to their highly acclaimed debut “Fatale Mistake”. The new CD “Enter Eternity” has gone in a new direction by adding power metal vocalist Lance King as a full fledged member. The opening track “Nightmare,” brings back memories of my favorite vocalist Frank DiMino of Angel. You may wonder how much mileage King has on those vocal chords with all the projects he has in the works, but Shining Star is burning bright and so is King.

Fabio just tears those strings to shreds making Yngwie look second class. The songs are melodic and are written to perfection. This is not just power metal this is class. “From Now On” is top notch and has hooks to catch the wave of true melodic metal fans. “Dangerous Game” is another killer track that will warp your mind with pleasure. The chorus is catchy and King vocals are phenomenal and with those peaks of screaming guitar by Fabio… it’s sensational.

“Insomnia” is another track that gives a slightly different taste to Shining Star but for me is the best track on the release that will reach AOR status. There are so many good songs that you will keep back tracking to hear them over and over again. Get this in your collection ASAP.
