Sweden’s Fatal Smile is back for another go at it after their debut release “Beyond Reality” back in 2002. “Neo Natural Freaks” brings a new and upgraded sound, which will entice the media’s attention. The sound is similar to that of Velvet Revolver, with just as much punch and in-your-face rock ‘n roll as any band can give.
“Bleeding Kiss” rips through some great catchy lyrics, and the chorus has excellent hooks that fans will love. What I like about this CD is that there is some unusual experimenting with the hard rock sounds that many groups shy away from. Y’s guitar playing is over the top, and I see no reason for any change in his style. You can actually feel the power coming through your speakers with Fatal Smile as they advance from song to song.
“Learn – Love – Hate” is just down-and-dirty, kick ass rock ‘n roll. What a change in direction with “Quiet Class,” going from classic hard rock to entrance of evil inside the body of H.B. Anderson. He even mentions the demons in his head, bringing out the dark side of an Ozzy vibe yet still having those catchy hooks. This is an excellent CD; especially if you have it cranked up, so check out these guys and be sure to pick up “Neo Natural Freaks.”
