What can you say about CRAZY LIXX but that these are some sick “sleaze balls” from Sweden! This is the kinda shit that some American’s want but they are always denied a US tour. At least we can still hear their music which we can’t be denied. First, I want to congratulate the band on signing with Frontiers Records and second having Mr. Chris Laney at Polar Studios for producing the new record.

We’ve known about CRAZY LIXX for many years putting out quality product but wait until you hear New Religion. The CD is overwhelming with the heavy harmonies and strong vocals. The American’s that love sleaze and Eighties rock and that vibe will love CRAZY LIXX’s new disc.

The opening track “Rock and a Hard Place” has a flare of vintage RATT and the power chords drive the song to pure ecstasy. Danny Rexon’s vocals have always been a favorite of mine as he slices through each track. If you like the vocal style of Paul Stanley than Mr. Rexon has that same essence.

“My Medicine” brings a DEF LEPPARD vibe as it kicks into high gear with those amazing background vocals that the fans love.

Put it this way, take BON JOVI, SKID ROW, RATT, TRIXTER and KISS melt them down and you got CRAZY LIXX. Check out the outstanding track “21 'Til I Die”. Truly amazing!!!!

You know you have to have a power ballad on any good sleaze record and here it is in the form “Blame it on Love”. The track is just a sweet taste of diversity and a killer one it is. I love those soaring guitar licks of Andy Dawson on this one.

Want to hear a killer lyrical dream “Children of the Cross” is about a sensitive subject but done with finesse. It features some great acoustics and emotional vocals. I absolutely love this track.

You want Anthem rock? Well here ya go with “Lock Up Your Daughter”. I see some club raising hell on this one as it will be a crowd favorite for sure.

In conclusion, I will say one thing… If you like it down and dirty with sounds of classic Eighties hair metal you gotta get CRAZY LIXX’s “New Religion”.
