Damn, I know the girls are going to love Big Cock. The band rocks out with sounds of past favorites Black 'N Blue, Warrant and Kix. They deliver bone crunching power chords and play with confidence. Vocalist Robert can just pump out the tunes like veteran Nick Gilder “Hot Child in the City” yet has the flare of Tesla’s Jeff Keith.
Song after song is arena rock anthem sounding. “Carrie’s in Love” gets melodic and shows the soft side of Big Cock. It was said that Traci Lords is a huge fan of Big Cock, I am sure she is!!! Big Cock can capture your imagination with the pulsating vibe and the oozing of excitement.
“Take it Off” will be an audience favorite as it has that a bouncing sound with addition of some cool guitar riffs by Dave. These guys are definitely a great party band in the style of the Zeros from Los Angeles, but they also bring back memories of oldies favorite Jan and Dean with “Hard to Swallow.” It is hard to believe that a CD that has so many sexual innuendoes sounds so good with catchy hooks that will entertained you. I mean I will guarantee that your foot will be stomping your heel.
Just check out “Old No. 7” you would think how the hell could you write a song called “Old No. 7” and make it one of the best tracks on the CD well Big Cock does. The next track is said to be Ms. Lords favorite track called “You Suck the Love out of Me”. I am just wondering is it because Big Cock erects a special song in the vein of Guns N' Roses or is it because it’s so hard?
“Year of the Cock” is rock solid debut that is just touching the tip of great heights.
