First of all, this band is not Jed Clampett and the fucking hillbillies… they are down-home boys from Texas with a flare for traditional rock, busting strings and having a good ole’ time. They mix the musical stylings of Poison with Ryan Tierney’s vocals, who reminds me of Dani from the Babylon Bombs. “Against the Wall” is a kickin’ tune that I am sure will get the house rocking with some high-flying riffs.
I feel the vibe that could make Straightfork a special project, and that’s what I like to hear! “Back in Texas” has an AC/DC sound, coupled with some ass-kicking blues that give you a little 80’s heavy metal punch while still keeping with their Texas roots.
Yee-haw! Keep in mind, this is a demo with fairly good production, but if they could get a deal I am sure it would make a difference.
