I am going to stand up and applaud Rob Rock. The man is an ultimate talent and one of the best hard rock bands coming out of America these days. Three years ago Rob Rock was formed, and is now known as Rob Rock Rage of Creation.
In 2001, Rob Rock was nominated for best Metal act, and in 2002 Rob Rock was nominated for best metal vocalist by the Orlando Metal Awards. I can keep on going with the achievements of Rob Rock, but I think people want to hear about his new release “Holy Hell.”
You get a total of eleven power tunes. Two of the songs (“Slayer of Souls”/”Calling Angels”) are done twice because they have added full radio versions. “Slayer of Souls” is a full throttle song with the feel of Anthrax mixed with vocals and sounds similar to Bruce Dickinson. “Calling Angels” is killer tune that is melodic hard rock yet commercial enough to be played on AOR radio. “I’m a Warrior” is the outstanding track that reminds me of Dokken meets The Scorpions. The vocals are just high voltage an amazing on this tune. Rob Rock can show his sensitive side on the next track “I’ll be waiting for you” three cheers for you Rob get the girls. Rob bounces right back with “When Darkness Reigns” guitar work by Carl Johan Grimmark echo’s of Jake E. Lee (Ozzy).
If you’re into Dokken with a power metal style Rob Rock is your band.
