The pulsating opening track “Difference” sends you into an atmospheric spin and flashbacks of DISTURBED’s debut CD are in mind with a slight industrial sound making RIVETHEAD stand out. Hard power chords and the driving bass lines are the backbone as the midsection adds depth.
Steve Page’s vocals have the flare of early James Hetfield and BRUTALIATOR’s Stefan Karlsson. The first song that really stands out above the rest is “Choose Your Weapon”, a slower tune but Page summons up your altar ego and gathers up your inner self. Listening to RIVETHEAD, you also get a feel of MARILYN MANSON on some tracks and an evil uprising could take place.
The highlight track is “Beautiful Disaster” and you can check the video out on their MySpace site. The true feel of DISTURBED comes shinning through on this track as RIVETHEAD make you take notice a force is going to be reckoned with.
The thing that is above other bands is the hard-core rhythm section that is a TKO, which will bring fans from far and wide to the experience the new messiahs of metal.
