Back in 05’ when we reviewed MYLAND’s The Time Is Over I knew these guys were special. Opening the new CD “No Man’s Land” is a blockbuster tune called “Anytime” that should make MYLAND a household name. The vocals by Guido Priori are simply put, outstanding! And the riveting guitar work by Marco Andreasi is driving. The versatile keyboards by Steve Andreasi are one of those classic melodies that will have the same effect as EUROPE’s “Final Countdown” . What an opening track that pushes the limits of those heart throb love affairs.

Next up is another killer melodic tune “The Wind of Late September” that is smooth to the ears and the chorus will have fans singing along. The highlight is a special guest solo by ex-EUROPE guitarist Kee Marcello that shows the class act he is, amazing smoking solo.

Listening to MYLAND you will conjure up bands like JOURNEY and EDENS CURSE, the musicianship by far is classic and the vocals are perfection. The hook up between keyboardist Steve Andreasi and guitarist Marco Andreasi are sensational with the midsections catchy cliché’ hooks on every track will drive melodic fans wild.

“How Much Love” would be comparable to JOURNEY’s “Faithfully” with the perfect balance of soothing vocals, searing guitar and caressing keyboards, just another masterpiece on “No Man’s Land”.

With the first five tracks being more of a melodic gem, track six “Age of my Dreams” turns direction to a slight heavier tune. The harmonies are stronger and the song is fast-paced. All the guitar work throughout the entire CD is on fire and this song just gives the essences of a masterful band MYLAND is.

“One Step Closer” is another vibrant track that also has hints of JOURNEY. I can’t help but think how much of an influence JOURNEY had on MYLAND and to tell you the truth since we really don’t hear anything from Steve Perry anymore MYLAND can move right into that stardom spot. I was anticipating a great CD for the second offering by MYLAND and “No Man’s Land” did not disappoint. Excellent release! Make sure to add this one to your collection!
