Not sure if this is called nerd rock or outtakes from the Lenny and Squiggy CD from many years ago, but LUDO mixes a variety of memorable sounds ranging from smoke filled 70’s nightclubs to high class alternative power.

LUDO’s direction of is powerful; it sends a jolt of energy and adrenaline through your body all courtesy of Andrew Volpe’s vocals. Clear-cut, these boys will be driving a stake in minds of youth as they make their rise to stardom. The songs are smooth, classy and riveting with wild throws that fling the young into adulthood. Let’s hope they don’t make the same mistakes that mom and dad did, and keep their youth alive with the tunes of LUDO.

Even the guitar work by Tim Ferrell on “Love Me Dead” shows these boys are not a one hit wonder with the technical electronic devices, these are real men playing real instruments and not another Milli Vanilli.

One of the classy tunes is “Please,” I loved the arrangement and the multi-talented members collaborating on the vocals; it makes this song stand tall among others. There are just too many good songs on “You’re Awful, I Love You” just to pick one as a highlight tune.

You’re Awful, I Love You” is a fresh new sound that is youthful and a multitude of changing sounds and it should make LUDO multiplatinum. Just as father time is catching up to me, my daughter passes by and asks, ‘who are they now?’, and I wonder how can she hear what I am listening to? I guess my hearing needs lead to a level eleven because she had no problem hearing through my headphones. She says I like them and so just by her judgment as a high schooler, LUDO is a WINNER. All thumbs are raised, as there is not one-filler tune on this entire CD. Loved it!!!

LUDO brings back the days when rock was fun, and yet the younger generation will be drawn by the alternative light.
