Really how can this band do any wrong, 2 million albums sold, they managed to get multi-platinum awards in different parts of the world and they survived the grunge era.

GOTTHARD has been around since 1990 releasing their self-titled debut in 1992 going platinum and staying on the charts for 15 weeks. No denying they are an European household name and in other countries but have yet to make their mark in the US.

Their new release “Domino Effect” on Nuclear Blast records might do the trick. The opening track “Master of Illusion” is down right nasty as smoke rises from the the headphones I can’t help but moving the volume up, what an opening track to start “Domino Effect” off, hard-edged rock, great vocals and music capable of holding your attention. GOTTHARD are in the same vein as BONFIRE but with a harder style.

This album will thrive in the rock world, as fans will be overwhelmed by this classic release. “Gone to Far” is another highflying killer tune and should be with the musical aggressive guitar notes by Leo Leoni and Freddy Scherer. The title track “Domino Effect” will be another notch in the belt of GOTTHARD it will have no problem taking a number one slot of the charts. Steve Lee’s vocal’s are well seasoned and is a perennial superstar with the mark he is making in music history. Just check his pipes on the ballet “Falling” simply phenomenal and if you think that ballet is good check the next tune “The Call” even better.

Right back at ya slapping you back to the rock “The Oscar Goes To …” has that key element that excites the typical human with the foot tapping and head rocking and you will be doing that for the entire CD. This is none stop treasure that should reach platinum status.

One song that touches me is “Letter to a Friend” which has some killer lyrics beside some touching notes. The song could bring many different memories to people, but for me it’s about a friend dying and your saying to them don’t give up Because better things are to come, the song gets louder and stronger and your friend rises to the occasion and over come the problem and the friends reunited.

This album is classic and I am sure you will see this one when we do our best releases of the year in December. (Clap-Clap)
