Sidney Allen Johnson is a one-man solo project called BABYLON MYSTERY ORCHESTRA creating a work of biblical music, entitled “On Earth as it is in Heaven.” As I listen to track-one, it starts with a nice slow acoustic style guitar instrumental. I am thinking to myself “This B. M. O. is going to be a good CD to listen to” until the vocals come into play. Mr. Johnson needs to replace himself on vocals with another singer. The vocals are muffled and he uses a lot of electronic equipment to try and make himself sound good… NOT! The music is not bad, it has some good sounding riffs, keyboards and melody, but the vocals ruin the whole CD. Track-four “A Celestial Kiss” could have been a cool song but again the vocals kill the song. Many of the songs are of good quality musically. So Mr. Johnson put that ad in the music classifieds for a singer and you might have yourself a kick ass CD.
