I am overwhelmed by the high potency of volume set free by Adamantra on “For Ever”. Swift guitar licks with operatic keyboards in a classical power metal setting. Tuomas Nieminen vocals give a vibe of Rhapsody and Blind Guardian and when the dual guitars by Tommi Ahtila and Panu Kiskola reach the ecstasy stage, you have the tinkering of slamming keyboards in your face. There has to be dimension and a special technique to write and play music of this caliber and Adamantra has the balls on their debut CD to do so.

The opening track “For Ever” is a bit lengthy, but Adamantra show their talent, but the second track “Guilt” shows that they can write hits. Tuomas Nieminen vocals are outstanding that give a Bruce Dickinson power metal voice, the searing guitar work is overloaded with hooks and melodic melodies. I am totally impressed with this effort as much as am disappointed with the latest Rhapsody release. Adamantra is classical, rock, power metal and progressive all in one and the musicianship is top notch. So what are you waiting for, get the damn CD for some mind-blowing tunes.
