As the CD plays, my head spins like Linda Blair in the ‘Exorcist’ and as the blood pours from the mouth of the embodiment hellion, the music takes over your soul. The evil has risen to the top as the double bass drums pound my heart. Legion of the Damned has the eerie sound of Kreator with Slayer style music. Keep the children away from these boys as they will take over their souls with heart wrenching demonic tunes and the second coming on vocals from Maurice Swinkels .

The music is killer, but I am not a big fan of the vocal style of Swinkels . I am not going to be too harsh because Legion of the Damned will look into the flames of hell and wish bad things on me. “Death's Head March” has the feel of early hardcore Metallica , not like the pussies they ended up to be.

Richard Ebisch guitar playing is pretty good but should have had more emphasis like Kerry King and the drumming by Erik Fleuren sets the mood and outshines on the majority of the tunes. “Malevolent Rapture” makes me laugh because all I can see is our writer David Felix coughing up blood as he does his impression of the deep dark vocals and head snapping. This CD is more for the Death metal fans than thrash because of the vocals. “Bleed for Me” Ebisch finally let’s loose for a few seconds but disappears once again.
